Open Call 2019



If you intend to submit work to our open call, please ensure you read and fully understand our full terms and conditions before applying.



Open Call Guidelines


Please follow these guidelines when submitting work;



Submitting Artwork -


  • All artwork submitted must be gallery ready – no incomplete work will be shown at the gallery and work must be submitted at a high gallery standard.

  • You may submit no more than 5 images upon submission in JPEG format.

  • If submitting a video or audio piece please ensure you send the audio or video for viewing. 

  • If submitting a performance piece please send a video of the full performance. 

  • Your submission must include – Title, dimensions, medium, a brief description about the context of the work and how you intend to display the work in a word document.

  • Work will not be accepted if submitted outside of the given time frame – 12/01/19 – 22/03/19.

  • Work will not be accepted if the guidelines are not followed.



Selection Process -


Work will be put forward to a judging panel who review the submitted work. We have the right to refuse work if the work does not meet the terms and conditions. Unfortunately due to the high volume of submissions, we will not be able to provide feedback on your application. The decision of the judging panel is final. Artists will be notified after a short period of time whether they have been successful or not via email.


Selected Artwork –


  • Artwork must include a suitable hanging system or display for example – mirror plates, plinth etc unless an alternative hang has been discussed and accepted in the selection process.

  • Display options will be discussed with curators for digital, audio and sculptural work – artist may be asked to provide plinths or digital display units etc.

  • All work delivered must be properly packaged and have a tag with the artists name and title of the work on the packaging.  

  • Artists must provide the same artwork as submitted to the open call, any other work presented which has not be confirmed by the judging panel will be returned.

  • Artwork will be delivered and reviewed before the hang, if the work is not at a gallery standard it may not be included.



Delivery of Artwork -


  • Artists will be given a time slot in which they can deliver the work to the gallery, work must be delivered in person or by an arranged courier which has previously been discussed with the curators at an earlier date.

  • On arrival the condition of the work will be checked and logged, any change to the work whilst in the show the artist will be notified immediately.

  • Any work that has arrived damaged will be unable to be in the show, we will arrange a pick-up date for collection by the artist.



Collection of work - 


  • All costs of delivery when returning artwork will be the artists responsibility, funding and costs must be covered by the artist. No funding is available towards transportation, installation or origination of the work.

  • Work will be packaged and sent as it came to the gallery.

  • Artists will be given an allocated time slot to collect the work from the gallery, any art work being taken by courier must be arranged prior to the collection date with curators.

  • If the artwork is not collected within the allocated time slot there will be a weekly charge added until the work has been collected, work not collected within 4 months will be disposed of.

  • Condition of the artwork will be checked and logged before collection.

  • All work will need a signature on release.
